Strategy Analytics: Samsung sold 50.5m smartphones in Q2 2012

While Samsung doesn’t confirm sales numbers, research firm Strategy Analytics says Samsung sold about 50.5 million smartphones in the last quarter, allowing them to maintain the top position. Samsung’s global smartphone market share stands at 34.6 percent followed by Apple with 17.8 percent and Nokia with 7 percent.

Samsung posted huge profit in Q2 2012 thanks to the smartphone sales.
