Samsung has announced Drive Link, an app that allows users to use some of the phone’s features safely while driving. Samsung says the Drive Link app adheres to Japanese Automotive Manufacturers Association, one of the world’s strictest driver’s safety regulation standards.
The Drive Link’s UI is designed with large buttons and clean menu that makes it easy for the driver to access it while driving. For instance, the app will showcase weather information, calendar events or use the app to access the music library, GPS or calls.
Moreover, Drive Link can also connect to some in-vehicle infotainment systems via MirrorLink.
The Drive Link app will be available to Galaxy S III users in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, and United Kingdom and will be released for devices running Android 4.0+ in the coming weeks.
