Galaxy S III and Echo-P Series TV Are Certified to Support Miracast

Galaxy S III

Samsung’s Galaxy S III and Echo-P Series TVs are the first few consumer devices that will support Wi-Fi Alliance’s Miracast technology. Wi-Fi Alliance today detailed its Miracast technology that will allow consumers to stream content directly from one device to another. To put it simply, it works like the AllShare service by Samsung but promises interoperability between other branded Miracast certified devices.

Miracast uses Wi-Fi Direct and WPA2 security standard that ensures the content is streamed securely with enough bandwidth.
