Samsung Electronics’ subsidiary Samsung Information Systems America Inc. (SISA) today announced its plans to expand and relocate its R&D center to a 8.5 acre campus in Mountain View, California.

Samsung says they’ve a presence for over two decades in Silicon Valley and relocating the center will help them attract the best talent required for their “strategic growth.”

The construction of the R&D Center spanning two new six-story class-A office buildings (~385,000 sq. ft.) and two 5-6 story parking structures is expected to start in 2H 2013 with occupancy sometime in 2014.
