Samsung introduced TecTiles programmable NFC tags in June that allowed users to configure a particular TecTile tag to perform a particular function with just a tap. Now Samsung has updated its TecTile app to version 3.0 that enhances the functionality of the tags.
The new version which is available on the Play Store will bring in features like programmable multiple actions to a single TecTile tag; customize profiles so that a single TecTile can be used at different places and performing different functions; keep a log of TecTile tag history; unlock a previously locked TecTile; toggle music player functions; create private TecTile tags etc.
The TecTile app is available for free on the Play Store but the TecTile programmable NFC tags needs to be purchased for $14.99 that includes five tags.
