Samsung Electronics has sued LG Display in South Korea seeking invalidation of OLED patents held by LG Display. Samsung claims seven patents granted to LG Display should be considered as invalid as they “lack innovation.”
Samsung and LG Display have been engaged in legal battle with Samsung alleging LG for leaking the OLED tech and then LG Display suing Samsung over the use of OLED panels in Samsung devices.
