Samsung sells three TVs every second

S9 UHD TV

Samsung has been a market leader in the TV segment for few years now and according to Samsung executive, BK Yoon they’ve been selling three TVs every second. Granted, not each of it sold is a top-tier set but the fact that TV sales alone accounted for $184 billion last year for Samsung Electronics and $9 billion in R&D investment every year shows how bullish Samsung is.

Samsung’s latest innovation in the TV segment are UHD TVs that boast 4K resolution, up to 4 times higher than conventional full HD TVs. Samsung will sell the 85-inch UHD TV in Europe for a price of around 40,000 euros.
