Samsung at the 2013 Samsung Forum announced a new television targeted at consumers in the Southwest Asia region. It’s the F5100 LED TV and the television’s selling point is the ConnectShare Transfer feature.
Samsung says the TV will be equipped with two USB ports on the side of the TV that will allow users to not only view content on the TV but also allow them to transfer content between two connected devices, thus eliminating the need for a PC.
There’s no word on the pricing or the availability.
UPDATE: F5100 LED TV is now available in India across various retailers. The F5100 will come in sizes of 32-inch, 40-inch and 46-inch with price starting from Rs. 35,900. Samsung has also brought F4100 LED TV Series that also features ConnectShare Transfer. The only difference between F4100 and F5100, according to a retailer’s representative is the resolution, which is 720p (HD Ready) in F4100 and 1080p (Full HD) in F5100. The 32-inch F4100 starts from Rs. 31,900.
