For the past few weeks, Samsung and LG were working together to solve issues relating to their respective display technologies but the latest statement by LG hints the settlement is far away. LG Display claims Samsung Display and Samsung Electronics are using their technology illegally and seek a compensation for the same.
LG also said it is “doubtful” that Samsung will drop the lawsuit against them, refuting the report from Yonhap News that claimed the same and is ready to hold talks for compensation.
The past few weeks have been nothing but positive since the South Korean ministry intervened to help both the companies settle the display-related issues amicably.
