Samsung earlier this week held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new plant in Vietnam. The new plant for mobile phones is located in Yen Binh Industrial Park in Thai Nguyen city and will cost Samsung $2 billion to build it.
Samsung expects to start the production in phases but when it hits the full production capacity in 2015, the new plant will produce 120 million units annually, in addition to 120 million units already being produced by another plant based in Vietnam.
