Korean Police searches Samsung office over OLED Tech leak

South Korea police raided Samsung Display’s headquarters in Asan yesterday in relation to the OLED tech leak. The Korean police are investigating the case and searched Samsung’s office to get hold of any documents related to the technology.

While LG Display claims they didn’t report its rival, spokesperson for Samsung confirmed the visit saying they were investigating whether LG Display partners “leaked technology secrets and whether Samsung is involved.”

Both companies have been fighting over numerous display technologies since last year. Even Samsung’s OLED technology leak was leaked last year where 11 employees from SMD and LG Display were indicted and alleged LG to admit their role in stealing the technology.
