Samsung today expanded its tablet range with the introduction of the new Galaxy Tab 3 series. This series will understandably take over the current Galaxy Tab 2 series and will offer improved specs at an affordable price. The first tablet to be launched under the new series is the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch featuring a 7-inch WSVGA display (1024×600), 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 3G and Wi-Fi support.

The tablet will run Android 4.1 out of the box, support full HD playback and features 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, ChatON, A-GPS, 8 or 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot up to 64GB and 4000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch’s Wi-Fi variant will go on sale from next month with the 3G variant to follow in June.
