Samsung today expanded its NX Series camera lineup with the NX2000. The NX2000 was leaked in a picture last month and was believed to run on an Android or a Tizen OS. However, the fact is that Samsung is pitching the camera based on SMART Camera technology.
The NX2000 features a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor and is powered by DRIMe IV engine for improved picture processing and colour reproduction.
The camera also supports the i-Function as well as the 3D lens, 8fps continuous shooting, up to 25600 ISO 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, full HD video recording and support for Smart Camera app available on iOS and Android to share, backup via Wi-Fi and NFC. The NX2000 also comes with a dedicated Direct Link key that directly syncs content to social networking sites like Facebook.
The camera with the 20-50mm lens will be available in white, pink and black for $650 in US with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.
In Germany, Samsung will sell the camera as NX2020 and NX2030 where the NX2020 will come with 20-50mm lens while the NX2030 will be bundled with 18-55mm lens. The former variant will sell for 649 euros whereas the latter will sell for 699 euros.
