A new gas leak occurred earlier today at one of Samsung’s plant in Hwaseong, South Korea. The hydrofluoric acid spilled at the plant when workers were changing the pipes containing the acid, resulting in minor injuries to three workers.
This is the second gas leak incident since January where a similar leak happened at the same plant, killing one and injuring four others.
The Ministry of Labor and Employment claims Samsung may have not followed the safety regulations while dealing with such a dangerous acid that can be fatal to lungs and nervous system.
