Samsung acquired US-based MOVL last month to enhance the multi-screen experience around Samsung devices. MOVL confirmed the move to Tech Crunch saying they’re now working with Samsung from last month to combine “multi-screen capabilities with Samsung’s scale and innovation in its device ecosystem.”

Prior to the acquisition, MOVL has worked with the Samsung Connected TV platform and was one of the winners for developing WeDraw app that allowed users to draw an image on the smartphone or tablet and display it on TV. MOVL also created the Kontrol.tv API that allowed devs to create apps for a similar multi-screen experience.
