4G is yet to go mainstream in many parts of the world but Samsung has developed a core technology related to the next-generation 5G network, reports Yonhap News. 5G is said to be many times faster than 4G that tops at around 75-100Mbps. Samsung expects consumers will be able to access the high-speed network by 2020.
Samsung managed to successfully test it using the 28 Gigahertz (GHz) waveband to transmit data at a speed of 1Gbps.
