
The Galaxy Star that was announced in March is now available for the Indian market. The phone is priced at just Rs. 5,240 and it clearly goes for the entry-level crowd who want to get a smartphone experience at an affordable price.
The phone runs Android 4.1 out of the box and features a Cortex-A5 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 3-inch touchscreen QVGA display, dual-SIM support, 2MP camera, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot and 1200mAh battery.
On the software front, the phone comes with motion UI that refreshes on shaking the device or mutes on flipping it, Google Now, ChatON.
Vodafone users buying the device till July 31 will also receive 250MB of 2G data free for 2 months.
