At an event today, Samsung India announced the Galaxy Mega 5.8. The device is inspired from the Galaxy S4 design and is targeted at consumers who want a larger-sized display at a lower price than Samsung’s flagship devices.
The Galaxy Mega 5.8 features dual-SIM support and comes with a 5.8-inch qHD display (960×540), 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and Android 4.2 OS. Additionally, the phone boasts an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1.9MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 2600mAh battery.
On the software front, the phone will come with Multi Window, Pop Up Play, ChatON, S Travel and variety of camera modes.
The Galaxy Mega 5.8 will sell for Rs. 25,100 and RCom and Vodafone subscribers can avail special offer on the device. RCom customers buying Samsung Galaxy Mega will get 2GB data per month free for 3 months as well as unlimited access to Big Movies Library, unlimited WhatsApp , Twitter, Facebook during this period. Vodafone customers too will get access to 2GB data download per month free for two months (3G + 2G)..
