UPDATE: Intel has confirmed the processor and the cellular chip. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is powered by Z2560 Atom processor and Intel’s XMM 6262 3G modem solution or Intel’s XMM 7160 4G LTE.
In addition to the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, Samsung also announced the 10.1-inch variant as well. The Galaxy Tab 3 range now features three tablets with the 10.1-inch being the biggest one. The tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, which interestingly, Samsung doesn’t confirm if it’s an Intel-based or ARM based CPU but Reuters say it is based on Intel. As for the rest of the specs, the 10.1-inch display sports the same resolution as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch (1280×800) and features 1GB RAM, 3G or LTE support (depending on market), 3MP and 1.3MP cameras, 16 or 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot, A-GPS and 6,800mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1-inch will also start retailing in select markets from this month.
