Samsung’s HomeSync device is yet to go on sale but it seems Samsung will roll out a similar service although somewhat limited in features for their ATIV notebooks. A product page of ATIV Book 9 reveals the notebook will feature HomeSync Lite. The complete feature set of the HomeSync Lite is unknown but the Samsung says users will be “create your own personal cloud with Samsung Home Sync PC”.
In short, going by the description, only the cloud sharing feature is expected to work with the Lite version.
The actual HomeSync device that will hopefully be available by end of this month is powered by Android OS that allows users to use as a standalone device and comes with 1TB HDD to store and stream all the personal multimedia content.
