Intel chip to power Samsung’s Galaxy S4? (Update)

June 5, 2013 By kunal Leave a Comment

intel-s4

The devices shown in this image are powered by Intel’s chip (except the Memo Pad), including Samsung’s latest Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch. However, the slide also claims Galaxy S4 to be one of them, which is interesting because the Galaxy S4 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 CPU or their in-house Exynos 5 Octa.

We’re not sure when will this happen but it seems Samsung will offer an additional variant or replace it with one their existing chips.

Anand Shimpi from Anandtech even noticed many Intel executives carrying the Galaxy S4 a few days ago.

UPDATE: Engadget has got a confirmation. So it seems Galaxy S4 made in the slide because it uses an Intel 3G radio.

Also it's very obvious that Intel has a Samsung design win as tons of Intel folks are walking around with SGS4s
