Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy NX – a mirrorless camera running Google’s Android OS. Samsung builds upon its NX Series and combines the Android operating system for higher quality pictures with improved sharing and ability to edit pictures right right inside the camera.
Galaxy NX runs Android 4.2 and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and features a 4.8-inch HD display and LTE support. On the photography front, the camera comes a 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor support, ISO sensitivity up to 25,600, 8.6fps continuous shooting, full HD 1080p video capture, 2D/3D lens support and even i-Function lens. Additionally, the camera comes with SMART modes, RAW image support, HDMI 1.4a, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and 4360mAh battery.
The Galaxy NX is expected in August in Germany and Netherlands for around 1500 euros.
