Intel iterates its commitment to Tizen [Updated]

UPDATE: Samsung responds. They’re “actively working on Tizen eco-system together with Tizen Association members and partners”. Via

There have been quite a few rumours related to the Tizen OS in the past few days. The first piece of info claimed Tizen to be delayed by few months while a tweet from Eldar Murtazin, editor-in-chief of Mobile-review claimed “Tizen is almost dead”.

A statement released by Intel to Tizen Experts refutes the rumours. The statement says Intel is “very committed” to the Tizen development and sees an opportunity for developers to “write once/run on many devices”.

Interestingly, there’s no word from Samsung yet but given the joint collaboration between Samsung and Intel for the Tizen OS, it’s good news that Tizen is alive.
