Earlier this month, Samsung offered Jay-Z’s latest Magna Carta Holy Grail album to a million Galaxy users through the Magna Carta app. But Electronic Privacy Information Centre (Epic) filed a complaint with the FTC claiming the app collected “”massive amounts of personal information from users, including location data”.
Now Samsung has responded to the complaint’s claims saying they take customer privacy “very seriously” and the complaint filed with the FTC is “baseless”. Samsung also said the app’s permissions were similar to other apps’ permissions and they were listed when a user tried to install the app.
