Samsung at an event today announced new tablets from the Galaxy Tab 3 series for the Indian market. The range includes 3G variant of Galaxy Tab 3 211 (7.0) and 3G as well as Wi-Fi variants of Galaxy Tab 3 311 and 310 respectively (8.0). Starting with the cheapest, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is priced at Rs. 17,745 and brings in the power of 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM. The device runs the latest Android Jelly Bean OS and features a 7-inch 1024×600 (WSVGA) display, 3MP and 1.3MP cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, full HD video playback, GPS, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 4,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 bumps the display size by an inch but offers far more superior hardware in a compact form factor. The tablet comes with an 8-inch 1280×800 (WXGA) display, 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos CPU, 5MP and 1.3MP cameras, 1.5GB RAM, 720p HD video recording and 1080p video playback support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, WatchON, 16GB internal memory and 4,450mAh battery. Samsung has priced the Galaxy Tab 3 310 Wi-Fi at Rs. 21,945 and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 3G model at Rs. 25,725.
The tablets will be available from July 21 and has tied up with Vodafone to provide 2GB of free data for 2 months.
