Samsung today released their Q2 2013 numbers and though they’ve stopped revealing mobile handset shipment figures, market research company IDC claims Samsung shipped 113.4m mobile phones in the last quarter. This number from IDC also includes smartphones, which according to their research have sold 72.4m units and have a market share of 30.4 percent, about 2 percent less than what Samsung had in the last year.
Although Samsung leads in the smartphone market as well as the mobile phone market, Samsung is followed by Apple, LG, Lenovo and ZTE in smartphones and is trailed by Nokia, Apple, LG and ZTE in the overall mobile phone market.
