Samsung has fired the head of Samsung Engineering Co. for a water tank explosion that occurred last Friday. The group held the chief responsible for the incident that killed three and injured twelve workers after the water tank exploded as the flying debris hit them.
The 1300-ton steel tank was being built for Samsung MEMC Polysilicon (SMP), a joint venture between Samsung and MEMC (now known as SunEdison) and was being filled to check for any cracks or defects.
