Samsung has announced a professional grade monitor for the American market – the SB971. The monitor belongs to the Series 9 range and just like other Samsung devices in the same series, the SB971 offers premium looks along with wide viewing angles, quad high-definition resolution.
The SB971 is designed with graphic artists and professionals in mind and it’s evident on the design front as well. The monitor boasts minimal looks with internal components housed in an aluminium base. Each monitor is hand-tuned by a Samsung display technician and integrates a colour calibration engine. The monitor also features Samsung’s Natural Color Expert technology that includes hardware colour calibrations within the monitor so that there is evident loss of tonalities on screen.
The 27-inch display is based on Plane Line Switching (PLS) technology and supports quad high-definition resolution (2560×1440). Furthermore, the monitor includes USB hub, DisplayPort/HDMI/Dual-Link DVI support, built-in 7W stereo speakers and MHL.
The monitor will sell in United States from this fall for $1,199.99.
