Soon after the leaked images of Galaxy Gear yesterday, many dismissed the watch as unattractive and too big. Now according to a new report by GigaOm, the images do not represent the final design of the smartwatch. In fact, their sources claim Samsung will unveil “different, more finished product” on September 4.
GigaOm’s report claims the same thing we had suspected. The large unattractive bezel is Samsung’s way of hiding the real design while testing the device in real world conditions.
The site also says the final smartwatch will have no built-in browser but will feature Android 4.3, Bluetooth LE support, battery life of about 24 hours with moderate usage but a dismal battery life when used heavily.
We’ll anyways know what’s in store for us in the next couple of days but rounding up the rumoured specs, the final Galaxy Gear is expected to have a 2.5-inch AMOLED display, dual-core Exynos processor, camera built into the strap, NFC, apps support but only via Samsung device and will require to tether the watch with the phone to connect to the Internet.

This is amusing. First they leak different images. And the actual watch is a bit different.
What is Samsung doing?
