In addition to the Galaxy Note III, Samsung expectedly announced its smartwatch accessory – Galaxy Gear. Although Samsung has dabbled with watchphones in the past, Galaxy Gear accessory is the first of its kind from Samsung that works in conjunction with a Galaxy device and is equipped with Bluetooth for easy pairing.
Galaxy Gear heavily relies on software and includes features like Smart Relay, S Voice, Voice Memo, Memographer and even supports apps from Samsung Apps like eBay, Banjo, LINE, Evernote, RunKeeper and more.
Hardware-wise, Galaxy Gear features 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 320×320 pixels, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 1.9MP camera with 720p HD video recording support, 315mAh battery, mic, speakers, gyroscope, accelerometer.
Galaxy Gear will be available in colour options of Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green from September 25 along with the Galaxy Note III.
It is priced at $299.
