While Galaxy Note III, Galaxy Gear and the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) were the main part of the agenda at the Mobile Unpacked event in Germany, there was a passing mention of software update for Samsung’s existing devices. Starting in October, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S III owners can expect the software update with improved performance and features to hit their devices over OTA or via Kies. Apparently, there was no mention of Galaxy Note II but we expect the device to get the update during the same time frame.
Currently, only Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 10 and Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition run the latest Android update.
Android 4.3 will bring support for Galaxy Gear and bring improvements like OpenGL ES 3.0 support, Bluetooth Smart etc.
