Exynos 5 Octa-powered Meizu MX3 will get HMP support

September 11, 2013 By kunal Leave a Comment

Exynos 5Octa

Samsung maybe playing coy by not revealing which Exynos 5 Octa SoC will get the heterogeneous multi-processing (HMP) but Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Meizu has confirmed that its MX3 device will support HMP in the future. Meizu uses Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa (5410) processor for its MX3 and in a forum post confirmed that the device will gain the support to use all cores when Samsung releases it in Q4 this year.

This, if true, will be good news for Galaxy S4 users since they can also expect a similar treatment for their device since the both devices use the same chip.

Earlier today, ARM published three videos showcasing big.LITTLE MP’s capabilities with HMP.
