Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear at IFA earlier this month and in less than 3 weeks, both the devices are now on sale. Consumers in 58 countries including India and South Korea will be able to buy it from today while customers in over 140 countries will get the devices in October.
Samsung will sell two variants of the Galaxy Note 3 – a 3G version with Exynos 5 Octa processor and LTE-A version with Snapdragon 800. The Snapdragon variant differs in terms of cores, which is a quad-core and supports video recording in 4K resolution for up to 5 minutes. The Galaxy Note 3 will sell for 1,067,000 won in Korea and Rs. 49,900 in India.
Galaxy Gear smartwatch will initially support Galaxy Note 3 but Samsung has promised to add support for existing Samsung devices like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II. The watch supports apps like eBay, Banjo, LINE, Evernote, RunKeeper that are downloadable via Samsung Apps. Additionally, it supports Smart Relay, S Voice, Voice Memo, Memographer and features a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 320×320 pixels, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 1.9MP camera with 720p HD video recording support, 315mAh battery, mic, speakers, gyroscope, accelerometer.
Galaxy Gear will retail for Rs. 22,900 in India while Koreans can get for 396,000 won.
