Samsung has confirmed the availability and pricing of the new Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition for the American market. The high-end tablet from Samsung will sell in 16GB and 32GB variants and will be up for pre-order from tomorrow for $549.99 and $599.99 respectively with a retail release on October 10.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition understandably improves on the predecessor with improved S Pen functionality and a high-res 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD with WQXGA resolution (2560×1600). On the S Pen front, just like the Galaxy Note 3, the tablet also supports Air Command that opens a palette of enhanced features and even comes with improved Multi window, WatchON with infrared, Samsung Hub, My Magazine. Samsung has also struck a deal with Twitter for a limited exclusive edition app that features S Pen integration and multi window.
Rounding up the hardware is Exynos 5420 Octa processor, 3GB RAM, 8MP BSI sensor camera at the back, 2MP on the front, GPS, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 8220mAh battery.
Samsung touts Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition will have bundled content valued over $600 via Galaxy Perks. Free content includes three months free of Hulu Plus and SiriusXM service, one year of free Boingo Hotspot access, 50GB of Dropbox storage for two years, one year subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek and a 12 week subscription to The New York Times.
