Samsung’s homegrown ChatON cross-platform messaging service has surpassed 100 million users. Samsung yesterday confirmed on their official blog saying the 50 million milestone was reached earlier this year in May while the next 50 million came in four months. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed how many users are active on the service, the milestone is impressive nonetheless.
The service was launched in 2011 and has gradually expanded to many operating systems, making it a good cross-platform solution.
Needless to say, ChatON’s surge is also due to the fact that Samsung pre-loads the app in most of its Galaxy devices and confirmed to be growing in India, China and the United States amidst a strong competition from other instant messaging options.
