Interbrand released their latest Brand Valuation report that puts Samsung in the top ten brands of the world. The report puts Samsung in the eighth spot, a rank ahead than in 2012. In the IT industry, Samsung is placed at fourth after Apple, IBM and Microsoft respectively with a brand value of $39.6 billion.
The increase in the brand value is due to market share of the company in the mobile phones and TV segment as well as regular marketing activities based on Samsung’s new brand strategy called Brand Ideal that emphasises more on the social aspect.
Samsung has consistently ranked under the top 25 brands in the last 10 years.
