As expected, Samsung has officially announced the world’s first smartphone with a curved display. Dubbed as Galaxy Round, the phone looks like a curved version of the Galaxy Note 3 (sans the S Pen support) with a leather like back and curved 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED. While we’re still waiting for the full specs, the LTE-A at the back suggests Snapdragon 800 processor inside the device and takes advantages of the curved form factor with the Roll Effect. Instead of the Air Glance where a user would wave his hand in front of the sensor, a user can now tilt the device to check the information, a short press on the left or right to change the music or quickly access to albums with a left or right tilt.
There’s no word on the price but it will be released on SK Telecom in Brown colour soon.
UPDATE: Samsung has shed some more details on the device. The Galaxy Round’s display curvature is 400mm. It is priced at 1.08 million won.

Can you share the link? It has to be 2.3GHz because that’s the highest clock frequency Snapdragon 800 supports.
