Samsung is the worldwide Olympic partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category and they’ve just kicked off the marketing initiative for the upcoming Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Samsung has announced Galaxy Note 3 as the official Olympic Games phone for Sochi 2014 and for the first time in Samsung’s association with Olympic Games, all athletes will receive a Galaxy Note 3.

This is in addition to the Olympic Games staff who will also get the device along with the Wireless Olympic Works (WOW) app that will provide “essential, up-to-date Games Time data and connectivity that are crucial to the Olympic Games operation.”

The consumer-centric WOW app will also be launched that will give real-time news and information about the events happening at the Olympic Games.
