US and German Samsung subsidiaries today announced the kid-friendly Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet. The colourful tablet will go on sale in Germany from this week while Americans will get the device from November 10 with pre-orders to begin from November 1.
Designed for kids, the tablet is pre-loaded with educational content, games, entertainment, e-books and an app store meant for kids. The device also gives liberty to the parents to choose which apps to give access to, Time Management feature that restricts access to the tablet after a specified time period, hard case accessory that offers grip and acts as a kickstand for the tablet and C Pen support.
Internally, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids features Android Jelly Bean OS, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP and 1.3MP cameras, 7-inch WSVGA display (1024×600) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4000mAh battery.
The tablet will sell for $229.99 and $249.99 with the case bundle in the US while the tablet is priced at 229 euros with the case in Germany.
