India may have got a clamshell phone with mid-range specs but Samsung is treating the Chinese market with a decently spec’d device that will take the helm from W2013. Dubbed as W2014, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU. The device runs Android 4.3 OS and features dual-SIM connectivity (CDMA+GSM), 2GB RAM, 13MP main camera and 2MP front-facing camera, 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 1900mAh battery.
The only downer on the hardware side are the two 3.7-inches Super AMOLED displays that still boast a WVGA (800×480) resolution. Kinda disappointing after a meaty hardware list above.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the price or availability but Engadget notes it will go for over 10,000 yuan or US$1,640 when it hits retail.
