Google had promised to release the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its Nexus and Google Play devices earlier this month and true to their word, they’ve started rolling out the update for their Nexus tablets, including the Nexus 10.
Users upgrading to the latest OS will find lots of improvements like improved memory management, voice search, faster multitasking, improved caller ID, easier home screen switching, low-power audio playback, step counting etc.
As for the Galaxy Nexus, Google’s official word is not to upgrade the Samsung-made device as it falls out of the 18-month update commitment window but hopefully a petition with over 25,000 signatures of Galaxy Nexus owners can help change their mind.
