Shortly after a report surfaced that claimed Samsung to have produced just 50,000 units of the Galaxy Gear, Samsung has stepped forward to officially confirm the numbers. According to a report on Reuters, Samsung has managed to sell 800,000 units since the launch.
Samsung says the sales were “better than its own expectations” and plans to aggressively market for the coming holiday season.
Samsung is working to make the Galaxy Gear compatible with more devices and has confirmed to make eight of its devices compatible with the smartwatch.
