Samsung had announced a slew of accessories during the Galaxy S4 launch, including a GamePad for smartphones. However, the GamePad never saw the light until Samsung announced a revamped version yesterday. The Smartphone GamePad (as it’s called) is complemented with a Mobile Console app that enables users to enjoy games via Bluetooth.
There’s NFC for easier pairing, D-Pad, 2 Analog Sticks, 4 Action buttons and 2 Trigger buttons and a rechargeable 160mA battery. There’s even a clamp on the top of the controller to hold devices with screens ranging from 4-inches to up to 6.3-inches.
Samsung says initially 35 games will support the controller and more games will be added soon.
The GamePad will be available soon in Europe followed by other regions.
Our friends at Samsung Mania have published a detailed review of the GamePad, which can check out here.
