In addition to the Galaxy Grand 2 announcement, Samsung also showcased its GamePad accessory. Samsung has announced that the device will be available in the Indian market sometime in January at a price of Rs. 4,999.
The GamePad works in conjunction with a free app available on Samsung Apps store and connects to Samsung devices via NFC for one-touch pairing or Bluetooth. The accessory also features a D-Pad, 2 Analog Sticks, 4 Action buttons and 2 Trigger buttons, rechargeable 160mA battery and even a clamp on the top of the controller to hold devices with screens ranging from 4-inches to up to 6.3-inches.
Samsung has promised to increase the roster of games supported by the accessory in the coming months.
We were impressed with our brief hands on and felt really nice in the hands but one thing that Samsung needs to improve is to expand the support of games that are downloaded from other stores.
