As promised, Samsung has released an app for consumers to track all the happenings at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games that will start from next month. The Samsung WOW (Wireless Olympic Works) is now available on the Play Store and Samsung Apps and enables users to “personalise their Olympic Winter Games experience.”
The app will provide users real time results of the events, schedule and even medal standings. Some of the other features include a collaborative “cheering service” that allows fans to send cheers to their supporting team, share images and text with other fans and also provides an interactive visual guide to the games and the venue.
Samsung has been at the forefront when it comes to Olympic Games. Being an Olympic partner, Samsung markets its products during the Olympic Games and even hands over devices to Olympic authorities to facilitate the workings during the Games. For the Winter Games, Samsung had named Galaxy Note 3 as the official Olympic device.
