Samsung USA just announced a new Galaxy Tab device designed exclusively for the education sector. As part of Google’s Play for Education program, Samsung says the tablet will be released for K-12 school deployments and will enable access to curated educational content and other features that promotes digital teaching or learning.

Samsung is playing coy with full hardware specs but has confirmed that it will have a 10.1-inch WXGA display with 16:10 aspect ratio, run Android 4.4 KitKat, Wi-Fi, front and back-facing cameras, NFC.

Since this is a part of Google Play for Education, the tablet will have a store for K-12 schools that will have teacher-approved content and can even purchase using pre-loaded school PO than a credit card.

The tablet will be available from April through Samsung distribution and channel partners.
