India’s Supreme Court issued an order to Samsung’s chairman, Lee Kun-hee to appear for a case before a lower court. Lee Kun-hee will have to be present in the Ghaziabad court to avoid arrest within six weeks and to “seek bail and/or exemption from appearance in accordance with law.”
The Supreme Court directive came after Lee approached the High Court and the Supreme Court to dismiss a complaint against him filed by a local company called JCE Consultancy alleging cheating of $1.4 million.
