Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung has finally released its Galaxy S5 smartphone along with wearable devices like Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. Available from today in 125 countries, the phone will take the helm from the previous flagship – Galaxy S4 with better hardware and software. Design of the phone is still plastic but it comes with a perforated pattern back cover.

Hardware-wise, we’re looking at a phone with a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, octa-core Exynos or quad-core Snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM. The phone also features a 16 megapixel camera with an autofocus speed of up to 0.3 secs, 4K video recording support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 16 or 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot, Kids Mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Download Booster, Private Mode, NFC, Infrared remote control and 2800mAh battery.

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 also adheres to the IP67 standard for dust and water resistance and comes with a finger scanner, heart rate sensor and S Health 3.0.

The phone is priced around Rs. 51,500 in India but if you’re a Citibank credit card holder, you can get up to 20 percent cashback.
