When Samsung had launched the Galaxy Gear, it had a very limited device support, only to add more devices in the coming months. The Korean company has clearly learnt a lesson, which is why they’ve confirmed that 20 Samsung devices, including 12 smartphones and 8 tablets are compatible with the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit wearable devices.

The smartphone range includes older devices like the Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 to the most recent Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 Neo while the tablet side consists from Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition to Galaxy Tab4 10.1.

Samsung is also courting app developers to develop apps for the Gear range with the Gear SDK and Gear Fit SDK.
