Samsung India’s Country Head IT & Mobile Division, Vineet Taneja has offered his resignation, according to a report by Times of India. The development does not seem to be official yet as the report cites “three industry executives” and Samsung India’s official stance is to not comment on the report (official statement below).
The report claims Taneja was under pressure due to losing “some growth momentum” despite maintaining the number one position in the mobile phone market. Mobile phone business contributes a major chunk of the revenue for Samsung India.
Vineet Taneja replaced Ranjit Yadav last year and has worked with companies like Nokia, Bharti Airtel, prior to joining Samsung.
Samsung does not comment on rumour or speculation.
